What does the subscription actually buy?
Access to the platform: HS classification, landed-cost estimates, the broker marketplace, document checklists and entry-status tracking. One entry = one filing you hand to a broker through CustomsScanner, regardless of how many line items or HS codes it contains. Entries you start and abandon before handing over do not count against your quota.
Does the subscription include duty, tax or broker fees?
No — and this matters. Your subscription is platform access only. Government duty, VAT/GST and statutory fees (MPF, HMF and their equivalents) are billed at cost and pass through to you with zero markup from us. The broker's own fee is quoted separately, with our service margin shown as its own line item so you can always see which part of a quote is government, which is broker, and which is us.
Are classifications and duty estimates metered?
Only by a generous fair-use limit per plan, never against your entry quota. You can search the tariff and price the same shipment against a dozen destinations without burning a filing.
Do you file the entry yourselves?
No. CustomsScanner is not a customs broker and does not file entries. Filing is done by the licensed broker you select — in the United States that means a CBP-licensed broker filing through ABI/ACE; in the EU and UK, an established declarant with an EORI number. We verify a broker's licence before they can be listed, then hand them a complete document set. Every duty figure we show is a planning estimate, not legal or classification advice.
What happens if I exceed my quota?
New entries get a friendly upgrade prompt — or grab a single extra entry at the Starter price, no commitment. Status tracking and document access for entries already in progress keeps working; we never freeze an entry that is mid-clearance.
Can I change or downgrade my plan?
Anytime, in one click from your Billing page — up or down. Bought Pro+ and only need Pro? Switch down and you keep this month's full entry allowance; we credit the unused part of your old plan toward your next invoice.
Cancelling & auto-renew
Auto-renew is on by default so you never lose access mid-clearance — your plan renews each month for the plan you chose. Turn it off whenever you like: you keep full access until the end of the month you already paid for, then your account moves to No plan. No early-termination fees, no clawbacks.
